It’s hard to believe we are already in week 3 of the challenge. Big changes have been happening to the room. The wallpaper went in! It took my amazing wallpaper installer 8 hrs. Grasscloth is heavier than regular wallpaper and has different natural variances that require some diligence in matching. It really does look amazing. I’m in love with it. It totally looks like a boys room now. I call it a sophisticated boys room. So here are some pictures documenting the process.
Here are the 56 yards of wallpaper it took! Notice the ugly primer on the walls before. It doesn’t look good, but it’s a must to help create a barrier between the moisture and the drywall. It also makes it easier if you ever want to remove it.
Getting installed!
The lighting still needs to be put in, so the pictures aren’t great, but I really wanted to share a peek at the final product.
I love the texture and the natural sheen.
Here are the fabric and rug samples for all of the remaining parts and pieces. I’m so excited to see these come to life.
Here is another look at the final design plan. The daybed may come later, but will definitely be in there! I’ll break down all of the fabric selections next week. In the meantime there are so many amazing bloggers to follow and inspiration to soak in! Go check them all out here. Thanks again to Linda from Calling it Home for creating this incredible challenge and the amazing team at Better Homes and Garden for being the media sponsor.
